EVENT: Fraud And How To Protect Ourselves

Paul Van Nest grew up in Brantford Ontario. He studied at McMaster University, attaining first an honours degree in Physics, and then a Master’s Degree in 1964. He became a physics lecturer at RMC in 1965, and then joined the teaching staff of St Lawrence College in 1968. As the Chair of Technology at St Lawrence, he turned his energies to designing and developing the Open Learning Centre there. He shared this expertise throughout Ontario, the US, Malaysia, Hungary and Iqaluit in Canada’s North.

Since retiring from his teaching career, Paul has not slowed down. He has used  his leadership and webmaster skills at the churches he attended, and with the Rotary Club of Kingston. He is a long time Rotarian and has twice been named Rotarian of the Year.   Paul is also a very active member of the Kingston Historical Society. This ongoing interest in history resulted in his leading many tours to American Civil War battlefield sites. 

Paul and his wife Sharon have lived and worked in Kingston while raising their four children. Currently they are enjoying their retirement living in the Kingsbridge Retirement Community.
