EVENT: A Journey Towards Indigenous Allyship in Health Care
Dr. Taylor earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Queen’s University, before completing Medical School at Columbia University and an Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Centre. Additionally, in 2016, Dr. Taylor earned his Master’s in Health Professions Education at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Taylor joined the Department of Medicine at Queen’s University in 2011, where he is a general internist and clinician. He also serves as Attending Staff at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) where his clinical practice is focused on acute care general internal medicine.
Dr. Taylor currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Dean for the Queen’s Weeneebayko Partnership. In this role he is the Queen’s lead for the co-creation of a new Health Sciences Campus in Moosonee that envisions health professions education as community-based, interprofessional, and part of the broader continuum of education. David is of white, settler origin, and views himself as an ally in advancing education in Indigenous communities.
